When It’s Tough, God Is Still Good: A Letter from My Heart to Yours
Hey Church Girls,
I want to take a moment to speak honestly, heart-to-heart. Not as a business owner, not even as a brand, but as a woman who loves Jesus, has been walking this journey by faith, and knows that many of you are doing the same.
Let’s be real: it’s tough out here.
This season? It’s felt heavy for so many of us. The world is shifting, the economy is changing, and the pressure is real, especially for small business owners, dreamers, and faith-preneurs. Many of us stepped out in faith to build something meaningful, something that honors God, uplifts others, and serves a purpose bigger than ourselves. And yet... here we are, facing slow sales, quiet seasons, discouragement, doubt, and the real weight of wondering, “Is this even working?”
If you’ve ever cried over your business, questioned your calling, or wrestled with whether your obedience is “enough” — please know you’re not alone.
But even in all of this… God provides.
He always has. He always will.
Provision Doesn’t Always Look Like a Paycheck
We often equate provision with profit, and I get it. We want the orders, the bookings, the sold-out launches, the viral posts. And yes, God can and does bless us with increase. But what I’ve learned, especially in the quiet seasons, is that God’s provision doesn’t always come in the form of financial overflow. Sometimes His provision is peace. Sometimes it’s clarity. Sometimes it’s just enough strength to keep showing up one more day.
Sometimes His provision is YOU — reading this post, encouraging me, encouraging each other, reminding me why I started the Church Girl Collective in the first place.
Because at the end of the day, this isn’t just a business. It’s a ministry.
Every launch I curate, every word I speak on live, every post I write, I do it with prayer. I do it with you in mind. I do it because God called me to it. And if He called me, He will sustain me. Even if the numbers don’t make sense. Even if it feels like I’m doing everything “right” and still struggling. Even if the support comes in unexpected ways.
He Is Using Me Exactly As He Sees Fit
This season has been teaching me something deeper: it’s not about the size of the platform, it’s about the size of the obedience.
God is using me. Right here. Right now. In this season. In this capacity. Maybe it’s not to scale an empire or be the next viral success story (though if that’s in His plan, amen!). Maybe it’s to plant seeds, to water faith, to be a light, even when it’s hard. Maybe He’s using my “yes” to remind someone else not to give up on theirs.
Whatever it is, I trust Him. I trust that He’s in this with me. That He’s refining me. That He’s building character, endurance, faith. That He’s preparing me for something greater. That none of this labor is in vain.
To Every Single One of You…
I can’t end this without expressing deep, deep gratitude.
To every single one of you who has purchased something from the Church Girl Collective, thank you. Your support means more than you’ll ever know. You didn’t just buy a product, you sowed into a vision. You affirmed a calling. You helped carry the mission forward.
To everyone who’s ever liked a post, commented something encouraging, or shared my content, thank you. It may seem small, but it isn’t. Every single act of engagement breathes life into this platform. It helps it reach more women, more church girls, more daughters of the King.
To the ones who’ve hopped on my lives, showed up in the comments, prayed for me behind the scenes, or sent a DM just to say “I see you”, thank you. Your presence matters. Your kindness matters. You are seen, known, and appreciated more than words can express.
I may not always have the words. I may not always have the sales. But I always have God, and I always have this community.
So today, I’m choosing gratitude. For this assignment. For this space. For every single one of you who has believed in this dream. For the hard lessons, the small wins, the quiet breakthroughs, and the faith that keeps growing stronger.
He Is Faithful
I don’t know what your tough season looks like right now. Maybe you’re struggling financially. Maybe you’re feeling burnt out. Maybe your business, your family, or your heart is in a place of waiting or uncertainty. Whatever it is, please know that you are not forgotten. God sees you. He hears your prayers. He honors your faithfulness.
He has not brought you this far to leave you. He is still writing your story. And even when it doesn’t look how you hoped, He is working all things together for your good.
You’re still here. You’re still showing up. You’re still walking by faith. And that’s enough.
Keep going, sis. Keep trusting. Keep planting. The harvest is coming.
With all my love and gratitude,
Kimberly
